A True Free House

Traditional cellarmanship and a high throughput of craft beers ensure a great selection of cask conditioned ales in tip-top condition

The Hawkedon Queen is and has been respected for many years as one of the few true Free Houses with a robust and knowledgeable drinking trade drawn from all walks of life and backgrounds. We throw in traditional cellarmanship and a high throughput of craft beers to ensure a great selection of cask conditioned ales in tip-top condition.

In addition you’ll always find Adnams Best Bitter (3.8% abv, Southwold, Suffolk) and Woodforde’s Wherry (3.7% abv, Woodbastwick, Norfolk) available with other select real ales on tap. We also offer traditional scrumpy ciders from the cellar plus a refreshing perry.
