FUNCTIONS
The Queen is beautifully situated, a former 15th Century coaching inn nestling off the beaten track on the Upper Green in the picturesque conservation village of Hawkedon, in the heart of Suffolk’s rural countryside.
The setting and building are sufficiently idyllic that The Queen formed the centrepiece of an Inspector Lynley mystery filmed here a couple of years ago [see the press report here].
It remains full of unique character and charm gloriously unaffected by the ravages of time, with low timbered ceilings, flagstone floors, scrubbed pine tables and various curios and together with the fabulous views from the garden The Queen makes a magical backdrop for a celebration whatever the nature.
If you have a celebration or event in mind please do call to see if we can help.
